Nevada State College is a comprehensive baccalaureate institution of higher learning. A member college of the Nevada System of Higher Education, Nevada State College is dedicated to providing quality educational, social, cultural, economic, and civic advancement for the citizens of Nevada. Through student-centered learning, Nevada State College emphasizes and values: exceptional teaching, mentoring, advisement; scholarship; career and personal advancement; continuing education; and service to our community. The college helps address Nevada’s need for increased access to higher education for students entering the higher education system and for students transferring from the state’s community colleges.
The college offers a wide range of baccalaureate programs and selected masters programs designed to meet the general needs of the State of Nevada and the specific needs of the southern region of the state. Nevada State College is a dynamic, young institution bursting with growth and the thrill of opportunity. Since our founding in 2002, our student body has grown to encompass more than 2,000 students representing a broad array of cultural and economic backgrounds, and our 800-plus alumni are living and working in every corner of the state and beyond.
The College’s main campus is located in Henderson, Nevada, just 15 miles from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. The College also has a satellite campus in downtown Henderson and offers dual enrollment programs in partnership with community colleges across the state.
NSC offers more than 35 majors and minors leading to the bachelor’s degree. In every field of study, classes are taught by experienced faculty who serve as mentors and guides. With an average classes of only 15 students, we foster a personal Learning Environment where you’ll get the support you need to succeed.
Outside of class, you’ll find a wealth of opportunities to get involved and create change .
