Jay Finnegan has been named Chief Executive Officer / Managing Director for Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Finnegan has over 30 years’ experience as a hospital executive, serving most recently as CEO of Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center near Orlando, Florida. In this capacity, he was responsible for all administrative and financial management aspects of the hospital, as well as strategic planning, development initiatives, executive mentoring, medical staff and community relations.

• Health Management Associates Senior Vice President and President of HMA’s Division Seven with administrative and financial oversight of five Washington State and Pennsylvania hospitals, affiliated physician clinics and other associated ventures

 

• Health Management Associates Vice President and HMA Washington State Market Leader and CEO for Yakima Regional Medical & Cardiac Center, Yakima, Washington

 

• CEO, Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi

 

• CEO, Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill, Florida

 

Finnegan earned his Master of Arts degree in Healthcare Administration from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

 

Prior to relocating to Las Vegas, Finnegan was a board member with the Haines City (Florida) Chamber of Commerce, the Haines City Economic Development Council and the Northridge Community Redevelopment Agency. Throughout his career, he has been an active community member, serving as a board member of a variety of professional and non-profit organizations.
