The RTC's Club Ride Program Adds Employers and a New Merchant Discount Program
For Immediate Release:
In today’s economy saving money is a priority and a local program is making it easier. Club Ride Commuter Services, administered by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), has added 18 new local employers in the first quarter of 2009 and has launched a merchant discount program that began on Wednesday, April 1.
Thanks to Club Ride’s new merchant discount program, Club Ride members who show their Club Ride cards at the time of purchase are eligible for discounts at a number of local businesses.
Members are eligible for $5 off any massage service at the Academy of Healing Arts, 10 percent off any car rental at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 20 percent off purchases at Jamba Juice, 10 percent off of parts, accessories and service at JT’s Bicycle and discounts on sandwiches at two Henderson Quiznos locations.
Club Ride is a free, employer-based program that encourages and helps commuters to find alternative ways to get to and from work. Alternative commute options include carpooling, walking, bicycling, motorcycles and transit.
By promoting these commute alternatives employers can help to reduce congestion, improve air quality, boost morale and increase available parking. These “greener” options for getting to and from work also help commuters save money on gas, vehicle upkeep and even auto insurance.
The newest employer partners of Club Ride are:
- 7-Eleven Corporate
- Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP
- CDW
- Clark County District Court–Family Division
- Clearwater Paper Corporation
- Gold Coast Hotel & Casino
- Hooters Casino Hotel
- Kloehn LTD
By joining Club Ride, these employers commit to providing commute options programs at their worksites. “Club Ride is a free program that every employer in the area can take advantage of,” said RTC General Manager Jacob Snow. “We’ll come out, host events, match potential carpoolers and help employees get to work in the most sustainable and cost-efficient ways possible.” 600 S.
